So... I'm gussing you'are all wondering why I changed the blog title to 'Living Fearlessly'? Well... It's going to be explained in THIS blog! (:
So first off... CHIRSTMAS IS COMING! What do you guys want for Christmas?! I want to meet the Jonas Brothers... Taylor Swift, and get a few auditions! :P BUT... I main;y want my grandpa to be okay. He is pretty accellerated with bone cancer, and depending on how the report goes on Wednesday... he may or may not recieve treatment. I know... WORST CHRISTMAS EVER! BUT. I think I'm living fearlessly now. I'm starting to go through the ups and the downs of life, and I'm accepting the fact that there is such thing as life... and death.
I'm going to tell you now.. this isn't a post to convert you to Chirstianity... it's simply how I'm TRYING to help you guys get over something horrible, like death.
So I'm going to start off with a Bible passage... It is taken from the book of Ecclesiates 3: 1-8...
A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Bascially... this passage tells me what we are going through now... happens for a reason. We know we have to face death sooner or later. This bible passage... I first read in... Grade 8. It was found in the Dawn Rochelle series written by my ALL TIME favorite writer... Lurlene McDaniel. She is someone I look up to, and I've read nearly every single one of her books. It's pretty easy to decipher.. I'll try it! Haha! Sorry if it like... makes no sense...
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot
verse 2 means we face birth... and death. New and old clash at some point. 'a time to plant and a time to uproot' is a metaphor for life and death. Plants, much like humans, are fragile. So, we sprout... we can't live forever. We get uproot... to make room for other plants.
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
means something can attack us... killing us on the inside, but we'll all recover... never fully... but just enough that we won't forget them... but we can still carry on with life. Tearing down is basically... moving on, in order to make room for something else. You can't hold onto something forever... you have to let go.
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
mourn is like... crying in a sense... and when you go to dances.. you usually have a blast! Which causes... SMILES! So we ALL go through up and down days.
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
God will give us hard obstacles. Scatter stones, is basically your heart being broken from a boyfriend... death... you lost a friend... whatever it may be. But we embrace it, and we move on, evne if it might repeat again. But we MUST stay strong, and keep smiling through hard times
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
this one... is kinda harder to understand.... BUT I think it means that we are always looking for the 'one'. But we have to just give up. You WILL find that special someone sooner or later in life, but you can't keep holding on to a guy who... isn't there anymore, you need to forget them
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
Hmmm... I guess it's saying something .. I don't really know... but the silent part is you STANDING UP. Don't let people step on you. YOU must stand up for something YOU believe in!
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
That speaks for itself.
SO. What I've learnt over the years... the beginning starts with child birth... well YOU being born. But... is there really an end? I don't think so. I believe in eternal life... with God. Basically... EVERYDAY, we are adding to this book of ours... this special book we all have no matter what. Simply saying... we DO have an ending... BUT it's also a NEW book... tHe new bok starts with your death. Continuing on YOUR journey of life. We don't just stop after death... but we continue on... with God. With the desicion we make to... follow after death ; With God... or with Satan... It's YOUR choice, not mine or your best friends desicion to help you make.
SO... I hope you guys... understand a bit more about life and death. Live your life Fearlessly... and DO NOT get knocked over! Fearless is what YOU think it is! Fearless to me is living each day... happy and accepting, open minded. SO I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I hope you email me with questions, and comments! Thanks (:

WORLD AIDS DAY

Today, I'm standing strong next to something I strongly believe in.
AIDS affects nearly 33 MILLION people WORLD WIDE. You may think
it's ONLY in Africa, but the truth is, 22 MILLION the the 33 million, IS Africa.
AIDS is treatable AND preventable. By joining ( RED ) on Twitter
www.twitter.com/joinred and the Facebook group (RED), you are helping
to spread the word about AIDS. Please go to your local Starbucks today,
and purchase and Product (RED) item, and 1 dollar will be donated. Only
40 cents a day can help someone with AIDS! It's that simple.
This is another reason why I started this blog. Not only do I want to help some
people out there, but also to raise awareness that I believe the world should know.
AIDS is one of them. Can you believe it? 22 MILLION people in Africa are suffereing
from this. People in our world today, are able to treat AIDS, but in Africa,
the have to travel many many days JUST to see a doctor! Let alone get clean
drinking water. I believe that fame isn't for the glory and money, it's to stand up
to things we believe in, and changing it. Demi Lovato has taken the stand against
AIDS, and I hope that someday, I can start spreading the news about AIDS worldwide
just like her. Please spead this to your friends, and December 1 is WORLD AIDS DAY.
Wear RED in support of WORLD AIDS DAY!
REMEMBER, JOIN (RED) ON FACEBOOK, AND START SPREADING WORD!
IT OLY TAKES ONE SPARK TO START A FIRE, ONLY ONE PERSON TO CREATE
CHANGE. YOU CAN BE THAT ONE. PLEASE.
Thanks alot! <3

Day 6 : Months worth
Whoa! I'm so bad at this! Sorry for the almost month long absence! I kept forgetting to log on heheh... sorry! But from my LAST blog, I'm going to answer the question asked. I almost got into a documentary, because some guy messaged me about Plan Canada, ever heard of it? Well, it was because my blog supposedly helps people, and kinda 'changes the world', so they Facebook messaged me, but I wasn't able to go! Why? I had school, and my parent's were iffy about it... but oh well! I'm gonna continue acting, because I LOVE it so much (:
So, what have I been up to for the past month? (This'll be EXTREMELY long.. I apologize.)
I have been partying, well... no drinking involved... okay not alot of drinking. ONLY A SIP! I promise!! Mmmm... Alot has happened actually... So let's start from what I CAN remember.
School, bullies here and there, enemies... jerk of boys. Typical high school you can say. Now, being 14, a LOT of pressure is put on me. I'm the oldest, I'm in high school, and I'm a teen. Trust me, it's HARD WORK! So let's get down to business. BOYS. Yes. I am revisiting this topic, because of one particular boy whom I dislike. Name? Riley Fathom. He's going to be 'a huge star' from acting. Yeah yeah. Wishful thinking? Nope. He's got an agent and everything. Now, this kid is awfully good looking. BUT, his personality is SUCKY. He is like.. you know the jocks at you school? The ones who think they're all that? Yeah, stereotypical, I know, but hey. TONS of boys are like that. In EVERY group at school. So, he was a decent person for the first like 2 weeks of school, but I judged him wrong. He had a photoshoot about 3 weeks ago, and BAM, insta-JERK. He thought he was ALL THAT, and hot shit, but sorry buddy, YOU AIN'T THE SHIT. Avoiding drama around people you dislike, is quite easy. Why am I having this? Well, EVERYDAY, I just want to kick his little ass, and tell him he isn't hot shit, and deal with it. SO,
1) Avoid him as much as you can. Meaning, DON'T go to parties he/she will be attending. Facebook events USUALLY have confirmed lists of everyone.
2) Keep your cool, and ignore ignore, IGNORE! Believe me, there are times when you will want to EXPLODE, but tell your self, they aren't worth suspension.
3) IF, you have drama, and you have lines/projects which require you to be a nasty person, LOOK AT THAT PERSON. Not only will they mistake you for looking at the wall behind them, OR SOMETIMES look at them, the emotion that shines through, will get you a better mark! TRUTH is the key to acting!!
4) You can try to be civil with them. Not the easiest, but hey, sometimes it'll work!
Next, popular girls. I HATE THEM. They are literally, HELL. No joke. Last year, my 9th grade class was like... split into 3 parts, kinda like Bella in the Twilight Series. Let's say... The popular side is Team Edward, because EVERYONE loves Pattinson (I think he's a fag... no offense.), the victims are Team Jacob. There was a neutral area... Team Switzerland. I was, personally, on Team Switzerland. This bitch, was not the type of person you liked being around. She was NASTY, and thought she was hot shit (see? EVERY YEAR I deal with people like that.). She was a total slut. She was pretty, but looks aren't everything. Her personality mixed in, equaled the UGLIEST person in the WORLD. I swear, she didn't have a single NICE bone in her body! But onto explaining the Twilight comparison, is because : I had friends on T.E, and friends on T.J. I did NOT want to be involved in that drama. Seriously. I lasted from... December allllll they way until like June. The last day of school. So, I was actually, on the fence. I was on the T.S and T.J side. Wanna know how I managed to stay drama free? I'm usually a drama starter... but I changed!! DO NOT, at any cost, START DRAMA! I swear. Anyways :
1) STAY OUT OF IT! Common sense right? Nope. People actually SPREAD it to the whole school. Hypocrite? No, the bitch moved, and everyone knows about it, and we don't care anymore about it, so meh.
2) Don't choose sides. If your friend asks whose side you are on, say neither. She will be mad, but explain that you just don't want to get involved.
3) NEVER mention it to your friends on the other side. I can almost guarantee, 98% of the time, they will repeat WHATEVER you say, to the queen.
Sorry, short list. But that's how I managed then. So what is next on the list? Mmmm... oh yes. DRUGS SEX BOOZE! STAY AWAY! I know, I can be hypocritical at times, but hey, we all are. I have NEVER gotten drunk, well I was tipsy once, NEVER smoked. NEVER had sex and NEVER EVER took drugs. Those are like what I avoid more than anything! The best advice I can give about that, is to have :
1) SELF CONTROL
and
2) GOOD INFLUENCES.
Now, I am a Christian, so I have a pretty solid group of friends who help me. You can ALWAYS talk to me about your problems. Email me, (smilee.-@hotmail.com) and I won't judge. I swear. I have gone through alot, and this was created to help anyone! You will remain anonymous, and IF I do use your story as an example, it'll most likely HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME, OR I WILL HAVE MYSELF ATTACHED TO IT! I have no shame in sharing this, because I'm not a perfect person! I have my own flaws, and I want to use it to help you guys! (: (: See? People who call me a bitch, I ain't a bitch at all (:.
ONE MORE REALLY REALLY important topic I want to talk about. RESPECT. Dude, you may think, setting up a celebrity blog site is 'cool', but honestly, it's NOT. Over the past week, Demi Lovato, one of my biggest influences, have been portrayed... as a liar. NOW. THIS IS ALL FROM TWITTER, JUST JARED JR, OCEAN UP, AND ZACK TAYLOR! I am not lying at all. Demi had stated she NEVER dated Joe Jonas, and NEVER WILL because they have a strict FRIEND/SIBLING relationship. I might have to say, I actually don't know who the heck to believe! NOW. DEMI has been, well, basically framed by her own mother. She had tweeted an approximate... 4 tweet tweet, and claimed she NEVER dated Joe. BUT. Celebrity blogger, Zack Taylor claims to be TALKING to Demi's mom the whole time, and she cliams otherwise. She claims Demi and Joe are taking it slowly. Now, we can all pretend to be someone. It's so easy. BUT, having your mom tell the whole world something you might want to keep private, is just plain RUDE. People have tweeted Demi, calling her a bad person. DUDE. She TRIED to stay away from this bullying that has been going on, so just let her be. If you are a true fan, you wouldn't judge her. And please, respect peopl for what they say and believe. Yeah, I don't really have tips for this but here are a few :
1) If you don't know the other side to a story, just... leave it.
2) Don't yell at them for something they ddi wrong... or 'wrong' as I should put it.
Hm. I'm lacking! Ahh! This sucks... Oh well... Tweet me anything you like! www.twitter.com/itsYonaaRain_
And have an amazing weekend, and hopefully, I can update more often! (:

Day 5 : PARENTS
Why can't parents EVER support their children in becoming actor/actresses?! As you may have read in my last post, the agency that contacted me, was Showcase Worldwide. They DO NOT contact just ANYONE. They only invite the 'BEST' people there are. So, here is the breakdown of what really happened, and why I cried my self to sleep :
1) Got the permission to have the audition, and I was PUMPED
2) Interview went amazing! They loved me because I brought personality
3) Went back to the audition room for the actual thing,
4) MOM FREAKING SHOT IT DOWN BEFORE ANYTHING.
Why? Well, because school had to be 1st priority. I agree, but they had explained, if I DID NOT have a 75%+ av in school, they would DROP me from the program. I really really REALLY wanted it. Like, so badly, I even lost my faith in God. That was how bad it was. Honestly. So, you would imagine, on a scale of 1-10, I wanted it at an 11, so it would make sense if I wanted it SO badly, that would only drive myself to get good marks, get into a good university, right? Well, one-track minded Asian parents, they don't think that way. It's like... they HATE seeing they're kid in fame, and what not. I've been wanting to act for nearly 5 years of my life, that was how badly I wanted it. It's just not fair! Parents, need to SUPPORT their kids! I mean, now, I might NEVER get that chance AGAIN to meet producers from Disney, Paramount, Capital, Dreamworks, and ALL the other agencies you can think of! I'm so devastated, so this, is mainly for the parents to read.
Parents, not meaning to offend you, especially immigrants, but :
1) If you REALLY want your kid to have a better quality of life, let them do what they want
2) Support them no matter what. I understand, school is first, BUT. YOU MUST MAINTAIN AT LEAST 75% AVG IN TOTAL TO BE EVEN CONSIDERED TAKEN IN FOR ANYTHING.
3) DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, ever shoot your child's dream down. It's devastating, no words can describe it
4) Just let them have a go at it. Meaning, let them audition, let them meet producers, let them do a few shows, later on, they'll go back to school!
5) School = #1. Acting to us, will ALWAYS = #2. Besides, they have ON SET teachers teaching them between takes and anything else.
So, people who are like me? We can :
1) NEVER give up our hopes!!
2) Keep trying no matter what
3) Make a deal with your parents. IF the filming gets in the way of school, DON'T DO IT. School first, THEN act. Yours till young, and anything can happen
4) Stay positive, and keep doing what you love!
5) When your about to graduate, give agencies a call, and then meet with them!
6) Don't let disapproving parents get in the way of dreaming BIG.
You know, I don't want to be famous for the glamor, or anything like that AT ALL. I want to do it, because it's a passion that I LOVE. I'm being basically driven ALL my passion. I was good enough to MEET stinking producers! But my parents have NEVER given me ANYTHING I've wanted. This was really, the ONLY thing I have wanted more than you can imagine. I was soo close, but, my mom hates me, and took that all, single handily from me. Worst part is, MY DAD PURPOSELY DID THAT. He KNEW she wouldn't let me act, he KNEW she was a big enough of a, excuse my language but it's true, bitch to shoot them all down, and be 110% downright RUDE.
I'm sensing, I'll never be able to fully pursue my dream. Why? Because it's been the 3rd time I wasn't allowed to do the thing I wanted.
1) John Robert Powers had wanted me to audition with them, and my dad 'lost' their number
2) The part in a documentary to talk about this blog I've set up
3) That opportunity I had of a lifetime.
But, hopefully, in time God will allow this dream to be true, and I swear, I would be so thankful to him and EVERYONE else who has supported me through this rough few days I've had. But I have never been a lucky person, but PLEASE GOD, LET ME DO IT!
Well, have a great week, and DON'T GIVE UP YOUR DREAMS!!

Day 4 : Scam Artists
Hello there once again! So today, I got a call from a 'talent agency'. I honestly do not know the talent agency name, but this was the number : 1 (905) 850-8896. It's an Ontario number in Woodbine, so... honestly, I'm in Calgary, so I really don't know if this is a scam or not. But hopefully, it isn't. I mean, yeah, I should concentrate on school a whole heck more, but acting/singing is like the biggest thing I wanna do now. So... Anyways. NEVER believe what you READ/LISTEN to on the Internet, because, you never know, they may all be propaganda's. Lies, scams, it's like a daily thing for us teenagers, but screw it. It's part of life!
So what CAN you do to make sure it isn't a scam?
1) Google-ing it, and search the most LEGIT site you can find.
2) Call up friends and see if they have ever heard of it
3) Find the website. See if it is legit, if there are success stories, and people that look familiar
4) Maybe you have a friend living in that region, go ask them to check this place out.
There are basically only those 4 really good pointers I can give out. I mean, I HAVE been contacted by other schemers, who actually like... Call and say we want you to act for us! But today, this phone call was... different. Different, meaning that they TOLD me a location to go to, BRING parents, AND the time it's held. Now, I WILL be going, just in case it isn't a scam! I'm really hoping it isn't. But if you are in the Markham area, check out 'Showcase Of America' for me! It's on like... Winges Ave? St? or something of that sort. That would mean the WORLD to me! Besides, I'll still update this blog! ;) Why? Because it's like a way to communicate with people, and help them through situations I've been through. It's kinda fun! :)
Hm. How do you know when a Scam Artist is in your hands?
1) Google. Google-ing it is the safest way to go. Honestly.
2) IF they call you, type it into Google, and there will be plenty of sites that will tell you it is FAKE.
3) Check out the websites. The usually WILL look pretty fake. I mean, the logos are sloppily designed, the people aren't legit, AND if they are from a place you've NEVER heard of, then chances are, it's a schemer.
4) If you cannot understand them talking, or if they repeat things over because they are confused over the phone. They SHOULDN'T be stammering, because if they WERE a legit agency.... they would have done it a million times and wouldn't mess up.
5) IF your totally not sure, and ONLY if they call back a lot more times, contact your local police. THEY WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT. Don't worry. They WILL NOT release ANY contact information to them, so your safe, and besides, having the police involved, will stop the spread of schemers.
So, there was a man named DON PHLEAN. He was a 'drama teacher', and let me tell you, he went FULL out with it. He has a camera, he booked with Pyramid Productions, and a hell lot more. This man, was a FAKE. Seriously. A few weeks after I joined his classes, he moved over and over again. But by mid November, at the newest location, the didn't show up for WEEKS. Finally, the owner of the building told us that we were scammed, and this man hasn't payed rent for the place in over a month, and kicked us out. We were all pretty upset. I mean, ONE year there, was like... 600 dollars, and ontop of that, we paid for our outfits WE NEVER saw, and more importantly, we haven't even been there for a year. The call was called, Calgary Acting, or www.calacting.com. I'm not sure if it is still up and running, but this man, went 100% full out. He had little kids with audition tapes there, and like... stylings of acting, and he scammed the 15 of us. I had to say, we all had potential moving professtionally, and I was really hoping that would have been my break. I was totally wrong of course. But you know, we ALL learn from our mistakes. BUT BE CAREFUL OUT THERE! In Calgary, I recommened Siver Screens Inc, they are amazing people, sadly I am not signed, but I hope to be soon, and John Robert Powers. His classes are very pricy, but in the end, Brenda Song came. I'm not 100% fond of her, but she's an alright actress...
So, I'm hoping this helped! Wish me luck friday, and praying it isn't a scammer!! :P
Have a great night!

Day 3 : Twitter and SayNow
Anyone here a twitter-er? I know I am! Twitter, as you all probably have heard of, is a social network, connecting you to your favorite stars! What about SayNow? I wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of it! Well, SayNow is a number where stars, like Heidi Montag-Pratt, Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and many many others, use to talk to fans LIVE, and even record messages for them!!
Is SayNow charging you for their services? Nope! Not a dime! It's quite a spectacular thing, I must say!
Who DOESN'T have SayNow? Well, I know Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, David Henrie, Martina McBride, and basically all teen magazines. It sucks, I know!
Who HAS SayNow? Well, Jonas Brothers, Chelsea Stuab, Selena Gomez, rising Disney band, Honor Sociey, Demi Lovato, Tori Spelling, and many many more have SayNow! No, I don't have one, but I might someday in the future. ;)
So, what do these two have on common? Well, aside from the obvious, communicating, you also get a sense of what they're up to! From Twitter, you can 'follow' your favorite celebrities, and read whatever they post on. SayNow, you call the number, and you hear ALL of their messages they've recorded, and even leave your very own message for them to hear! (I also hear, they even call YOU back!) So, the big question : How do you know when they go live and leave messages? The EASY answer, is to follow them on Twitter. They usually send a message, along with the link (since it's like calling the internet) so you don't have to call the number. Now, I know for sure, Demi Lovato hardly ever leaves messages, but Twitter her up, and you'll recive TONS of Demi updates! Or, you can go the hard way of finding out if they are live or just leaving a message! All you have to do, is call in to their number. IF they are Live, the message you will most likely hear is : The Artist you have called is currently on another call. In the mean times, let's kill sometime. You will not lose your spot in line, and you'll start to hear messages from their fans, and lemme tell you... some are CRAZY! No joke. Like... lunatic crazy!! :P
Twitter :
How can you tell if they are fake or real? Well, when you click 'Find People' and type in their name, on the side after the page loads with all the matches, there MAY be a BLUE check mark withe the words 'VERIFIED ACCOUNT', and that is when you know for sure they are the real one!
What if they DO NOT have that next to their name? More than likely, Perez Hilton (www.twitter.com/perezhilton) will have their names there. If not, check out a verified account, and you might be able to find it there, just don't check the Jonas Brothers (www.twitter.com/jonasbrothers), because they don'r follow ANYONE.
What are the chances of them replying? I would say... slim to none. I've tried leaving messsages, tagging pictures of them, and they like, NEVER reply! I do not know how to talk to them in a way to have them reply, but I always pretend to be nice. So.. hey, that might work!
SayNow :
Want some of the most sought out stars' number? Here are a few :
JONAS BROTHERS : (818) 748-8887
SELENA GOMEZ : (214) 306-9590
DEMI LOVATO : (972) 499-4918
50 CENT : (888) 448-8750
DEBBY RYAN : (817) 717-8469
FALL OUT BOY : (312) 651-6600
and soo many more! Just hit up : www.saynow.com and check them out yourself!
BUT. How often do they reply to you (call back)? That, is basically... a sliver to NO CHANCE at all. SOME times, like Selena, Debby and a few others, WILL do a fan call back, so keep checking their MySpaces, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube page, and wait for them to call you back!
Well, this was a short one, so have an awesome week!
-Yonaa
P.s If anyone wouldn't mind... wanna mail me a copy of 'All Wrapped Up Volume 2' from Target? We don't have a Target up in Canada... thanks a bunch! Twitter me for my postal code! www.twitter.com/YonaaRain_
You all are awesome!

Day 3 : The FAT days .
Well, it's a day after Thanksgiving, anyone feeling like a fatty now?! I know I sure do! :P. OH! Before I forget, Thanks Joholdenhan for commenting! I really don't know how to reply comments ... haha... but I'll figure out a way!! And YES. Boys just suck in a way, don't you think? Sometimes, I totally wish they'd all die out. But yeah, whats a world without cute guys?! So, today, I'll probably have 2 'Day 3' blogs, only because I think this is an important topic I'd like to share! So, having a fat day? I sure do! I mean, i had Thanksgiving lunch on Sunday (with my church), and a Thanksgiving dinner on the friday, and believe me, eating 2 courses full of starches, is NOT a great feeling! Honestly. I feel like a fat bum today! Well... sorta. I mean, my family kinda started up our own tradition during Thanksgiving! Instead of an actual Thanksgiving dinner, we have a Hot Pot instead. Believe me, it's yummy! ;).
So, how to control your eating on holidays, like Christmas, birthdays, and even on cruises?! Well, here is what I live by :
1) Know your own limit!
2) NEVER, and I mean NEVER, over stuff yourself. It's a horrible feeling, and you gain TONS.
3) Choose your selections carefully! Thanksgiving and cruises tend to have AMAZING foods, but pick and choose wisely. Personally, I try to stay away from starches, but it gets to me.
4) Eat slow. That way, your stomach will know when you've reached it's max, AND, you can enjoy ALL of the foods there!!
5) Have a smaller portion. Having too much results in what I call, 'Fat-i-tosis'
6) Try to stay away from starches. Potatoes and rice are SO full of starches, you actually gain from them! The starches convert into it's own fat, and it's hard to get rid of them!
7) Don't pile on tons of fried food. Like #3, stick to greens, veggies, and fruits.
8) Don't be greedy!
9) Don't eat alot the meal before. Have something small, so you can eat more during your big meal! On cruises, it'll be a challenge, but, honestly, after a few days of that, your body will self adjust to your portions.
10) Have at least a whole glass to half a glass of water before your meals. The water will trick your body into being partially full, so referring to tip #5, thins will make it a whole heck lot easier.
What has this got to do with anything? Well, I've been struggling with weight for a few years now, and although I have (supposedly, according to everyone), I've lost quite a bit. So, what do I do on cruises? Well, I love veggies and fruits, so it was a whole lot easier for me. But give them a try even though you don't like them!! At dinner, I choose to eat less rice/pasta, and rather eat more meat, even though they give you the fat too. Reasearch say, by having at least 2 pounds of meat, so maybe... like a hamburger?, it'll help control our weight. A few food/drinks that are proven to help you crontrol your weight would be :
1) Milk. The antibiotics there helps your body heathly, not just making your bones stronger, but keeps a well balanced weight.
2) Green Tea. Weird? I know, but hey, it works for me! I drink at least 2 cups of green tea everyday, and I guess I ahve lost quite a bit.
3) Vegtables. Well, they aren't very high in calories, but hey, eating them, helps maintain a nice weight! Did you know, celery has NEGATIVE calories?! What does that mean? Well... that means, by eating 1stick of celery, it'll take MORE calories to digest it that to consume it?! So in a way yes, eating only celery for the rest of your life would definately keep your weight down.
4) Fruits. Healthy, delicious snack, that I myself enjoy very much. I'm not 100% sure about what fruits actually help with weight, but they're good for you anyways. They have 100% natural sugar, which is a whole HECK lot healthier than artificial sugars, such as candy.
5) Not liking milk? Well, you can try yougurts. Activia is the best I think. Weird story. I had my very first Activia yougurt a year ago?, and I felt some weird butterfly feeling in my tummy... Yeah, odd right? But, as the ads say, it does help you!
6) Lactose intolerant? Try soy milk. It's yummy, and healthy at the same time. Well... I THINK you have soy milk... :/ Yeah... I was never too good at that stuff :P
Hmmm... these are just a few of the tips that can help you. It's like a diet plan, isn't it? Well, personally, I go by everything, except milk. I dislike the taste off it, but I still have chocolate and soy milk. Vanilla Milk To Go is like the closest to plain milk as I've ever gotten. So, what can you do the after you have ingested all the yummy foods? Well, you can :
1) The day after, try to eat a little less that usual, but still eating.
2) Have a healthier selection of foods.
3) Having not 3 meals a day, but 5. Breakfast, a snack 3 hours AFTER breakfast still making room for lunch, then lunch (you'll probably eat less at lunch than usual.), a snack 3 hours after that, so probably after school, and finally, dinner. Why? Well, that increases your metabolism, and it totally helps you control weight!
4) Instead of having chips inbetween your 3 core meals, have fruit slices, cups and veggie cut up for you. You may dip it in ranch, but be aware that creamy dressings/dips are full of wayy more fat than vinagarettes, but who dips veggies in that!?
5) Try to work out a bit, and not be a couch potato!
Wait. There is ONE golden rule I have to totally throw out! DO NOT have dessert 4 hours or less before you sleep! It takes, the average person at least, 4 hours to DIGEST your food, so by sleeping say... 3 hours after your last meal, your actually gaining it! No matter what you have in the morning, like soccor, cross country, practice, never sleep within 4 hours after you last eat. They become trans fat, which is like, impossible to get rid of!
Make your self feel pretty! Wear your comfy, yet shows your body off nicely clothes, which doesn't include CLEVEAGE!! Then, look at yourself in the mirror, and repeat this : I am beautiful. Over and over, until you believe you are. I throw on a bit of make up too. A person that totally makes me feel comfortable around, are probably my friends. They don;t judge the way I look, and Demi Lovato. She is my role model. She NEVER lets herself go after people call her fat. But in truth, she isn't fat at all! It may be some leftover baby fat, but it'll go away. NEVER starve yourself, binge or throw up your food. That only makes yout body crave food more,a dn WHA-BAM, all the 'pounds' you lost from that, will return... 10 times worse.
I hope these have helped you!! I know, I still feel like a fatty, but here I am, 3 in the morning, sitting and blogging this out, wearing a soft black shirt from Forever 21, and loose and comfy PJ bottoms, feeling... slightly better I guess, after my weekend of eating tons! Hopefully you feel better after trying out these tips! You can use them on a daily basis, even though I would say ALOT is repeated!! But hey, they actually work! No joke! Instead of gaining on my last cruise, I lost a good 3-4 pounds. So, try them out, and hey, reccomend some tips to friends! And one more thing... YOU ARE NOT FAT! We are all beautiful in whatever shape we are in. You must NEVER say you are fat, because that is just a load of poop!! No jokes. If anyone calls you fat, take it as a compliment, besides, I think it goes 'Put downs are the best form of flattery'! They might even be jealous of you! ;)
Have a wonderful week, and I hope to have more tips on how to help you!!
God Bless you guys!

Day 2 : Boys boys boys ?!
Happy Thanksgiving, all you Canadians! It's like absolutely FREEZING here! Honestly. I'm in my room, heater on blanket and sweater covered. Oh well. How was every one's Thanksgiving weekend!? Happy Columbus day to you Americans, btw !! Anyways, today, I went to the outlet mall outside of Calgary. The Cross Iron Mills Mall in Balzac (pronounced as ball - zack), and I bought a totally cute top from Forever 21! I love it! :P Anyhow, onto today's blog : BOYS .
Now, I'm positive that EVERYONE has liked a guy who either a) they never have a chance with, or b) they don't like you back. That feeling SUCKS! But girls, don't worry! Someone will come along for you in a while! Believe me, boys are the MOST confusing creatures wandering the Earth! No jokes, it's probably ROCKET SCIENCE. It's probably easier to read a stinkin' cat than to read a boy! Here is a true story :
She was a normal, average, slightly chubby teenager. But what the heck! She is in the awkward stage. You know, she is super smiley, and really nice to basically everyone she meets. Now, this girl, she has a ... obsession with white guys. She was a year younger than everyone in her class. No, she isn't the smartest person alive, but she just started school early. She's known this boy since she was in kindergarten, and she's been in love with him ever since then. They have been basically in each other's classes since then, up to grade 4. This girl had moved to Calgary Arts Academy, a sucky school in the south side of Calgary. She had missed him terribly, but eventually, she met Eden. He was your average skater dude, this was wayyyyyy back in her 'scrawny, anorexic' days. He had a head full of sandy brown hair, and the eyes as clear as an ocean. Problem was, he was hardly EVER at school. Now, her best friends had stayed in contact with Eden, while she hasn't. The following year, she had gained a few pounds, and she was totally aware of that. It all happened after she visited Hong Kong. Her friends had told her Eden liked her back, and she was shocked. Eden was a... very quiet guy, but was super sweet at the same time. So now, that she is in High School, she met a boy. His name is Vince. He wasn't born in Canada, and somehow, he dug a little hole in her life. He proclaims 'your pretty', 'your amazing' and all the other crap desperate boys throw at you. She, since then, started to not trust boys. Meaning, this boy, Vince, was 100% UNTRUSTWORTHY. He is horrible, a player and worse, a SNOB. Yup, a totally snob, a turn off in ALL girls.
Moral of that story? Never trust an untrustable boy, and NEVER get too close to them! So girls, what do you do when you encounter something like that? Well, you can try these out :
1) Just ignore the boy. He'll eventually move on.
2) Talk to a mutual friend, and try to figure out if he is or isn't trustable.
3) Have a clear idea of how you REALLY feel about him.
4) Stay friends. It'll be awkward, but hey, you have someone else who cares about you, right?
5) Find the guts to talk it out with him.
6) Move the heck on, sweetheart! It's hard, I know, but it's best for the long run
7) Try to act as if things were the way they were originally, and see how things go
8) Tell him how YOU, you alone, not your friends, but YOU, feel about him and his cheating ways
9) Tell him you need some room to think. Thinking it through a while can actually help you tell true from false feelings.
10) IF, you have totally thought about what it ACTUALLY feels for you (trustable, untrustable, security etc.) ONLY then, do you confront him with your feelings, but don't make him drive you NUTS. You'll eventually get annoyed with him, and IF something happens, you'll break it off, and BAM - a lost friendship.
So, what do you do IF you like a guy, but don't know how to approach him? Well, try these out :
1) Be yourself. Boys want to see how you actually are!
2) Try talking to them
3) If you have a good sense of who you are, you MAY try hinting. The more subtle, the better.
4) Don't seem too eager!! Desperateness is the WORSE thing a guy can see in you
5) DO NOT, crowd him day after day. That results in clingyness. BUT, if he likes it, by all means, go clingy!
6) Talk to him through a mutual friend.
7) 'Pretend-to-not-see-him-when-you-actually-can'. If you kinda catch his eye a little, quickly divert it, OR, if your friend is close to him, wave hi, he'll think your waving to him, which brings up the 'She-is-a-nice-girl' look in you.
8) Be mysterious. Walk past his desk, and pretend to not notice him. He'll think, "Why isn't she talking to me? Why isn't she as friendly as everyone say she is?" THAT might force him to talk to you... you enver know! ;)
9) Be-friend them, then slowly go on from there.
10) My favorite, it IS awkward, but it usually works : Have a friend set you guys up! You never know, he might end up liking you after that. UNLESS he is dating/hates you, then I strongly reccomend #2&9 first.
Don't know how to tell your friend? Well, here are a few examples that I have used in the past :
1) 'Hey, you know so and so? Yeah, he's a cutie! We should all hang out together soemtime!"
2) If you have a lot of guts, try this one "Hey, wanna set me and ______ up? He's a cutie/hot/whatever he is to you."
3) "Is ______ single?" If they say no, "Oh, darn. I want to meet his girlfriend. Let's go see a movie!" and drag a guy friend with you. If they say yes, "Really? I totally wish I can hang out with him! Can I meet him?"
These are just a few examples, I myself, have only tried like... at least 2 of the other examples above (meaning talking to a guy and what to do). For a shy girl, the golden rule, is to : BREAK OUT OF YOUR SHYNESS, AND TALK TO THE BOY ALREADY!! For a ballsy girl, a) ASK HIM OUT, or b) ask if he wants to join you and your friends for a movie, and he can invite his friends too.
Well, I hope these help you! (: Comment me some questions, tips, and perspectives on these! I'd love to hear back from you!

Day One of a blogger - Trust
Welcome to the 'Average Life of A Teenager' blog. The name is Yona, perferred to be called Rain though. I hail from Calgary Alberta... Yes, it's in CANADA. NO, I DO NOT live in a stinkin' igloo! Streotypes streotypes... Anyhow. I started this blog, because not alot of people totally understand the feelings of a typical teenager. I totally admit, I am in LOVE with the Jonas Brothers, and basically Disney Channel. I wish to work there someday too :P. So sue me, I'm weird!
So, I guess these are a few things you might want to know about me :
Age : I am currently 14, turning 15 in January. The 28th to be exact ;)
Grade : Ten, a ... freshmen in High School.
School : Queen Elizabeth Senior/Junior High school.
Spare time : I like to read, watch movies, generally hang out with friends, and sing/act/dance
Hobby : I don't really have a hobby... but does collecting movie stubs count? :/
Something someone might not know about you : I'm a lefty, I'm Chinese, I was on ClevverTV (check them out on Youtube! www.twitter.com/clevverTV :), I am a writer for the site www.jonasbrothersfanfictionarchive.com look for my story, 'Much Better', under the pen name of YonaaRain_ (please review and rate <3) href="http://www.twitter.com/jonasbrothers">www.twitter.com/jonasbrothers) is my favorite Jonas. I love Frankie, Kevin and Nick too, but Joe is a cutie :P. OH! Demi Lovato (www.twitter.com/ddlovato) is my 'idol', I'm a Christian that's why there is the " ' ", she is such a person to stand up for what she believes in and she is such a sweet and down to earth person. I haven't anyone really all that famous... I've only met Kimberly J Brown (Halloweentown 1-3 ; www.twitter.com/kimberlyjbrown), Ian Wallace (Writer ; The Name Of The Tree Is...), Shiloh, The Latency (Vancouver people ; Check them out, amazing band), and I have talked to Dana Ward (www.twitter.com/DanaWardOnline) and Joslyn Davis (www.twitter.com/joslyndavis) from Clevver TV.
Okay, so let us move on. Tonight... well... more like this morning? I would like to RANT about a little douchebag
named Arnold Kent Smith. I can assure you, he is the BIGGEST jerk on the planet. Quite possibly bigger than what
Perez Hilton (www.twitter.com/perezhilton) my call... the douchebag of the year, Chis Brown himself. WORSE than
Kanye West the time he stole another favorite star of mine, Taylor Swift's (www.twitter.com/taylorswift13)
glory moment at the MuchMusic Awards back in September. Yes, bigger than ALL the boyfriends/girlfriends who
have broken up with you. This guy, no, manwhore (excuse the language.) is a pathetic excuse to be a person.
He LOVES going into people's business, and RUINING EVERYTHING for one of my best friends, whom I am not
naming. He LOVES to be 'right', but to be 100% honest here, he is NEVER right! He causes drama at his church,
and thinks he is God. I mean, like really, for a minute, can you PLEASE butt out of people's lives? Quit
being SO STINKIN' NOSY, AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!! I can stand up fro whoever I choose
to, you can't make me not stand up for whatever reason it is I believe is wrong. And truthfully, you'll
probably NEVER read this blog, so to be fair, I won't bust out your biggest secret ever, out of respect
that you MIGHT be a decent person, okay?
So, girls and guys, if this EVER happens to you, here is what I can suggest :
1) Ignore them to the best of your ability.
2) ONLY get involved if YOU, and only YOU, believe it is worth being involved in
3) Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself AT ALL. Or for ANYONE of that matter.
4) Keep the situation too yourself, and yourself only. You may try resorting to writing a diary.
5) If things ever get out of hand, ONLY THEN, would you TALK to a TRUSTED adult with your problem.
6) Do not, I repeat, DO NOT make it public, and spread lies, that only causes the problem to grow, and GROW.
7) TRY to be the bigger person in this situation. Forgiving is the 'kindest' thing I would say you can do.
8) Tell a TRUSTED friend about your problem. Don't go telling the enitre student body or where ever this takes place
9) Calm down, think things over, then resort to tip #7
finally, 10) Try not to start anything at all.
TRUST. I think I'm going to title this blog 'TRUST'.
This is Yona, checking out at 2:09 AM from this blog. Keep checking regulary for updates and
perhaps, tips for everything teenage (: . Follow me on twitter @ www.twitter.com/yonaarain_
Until next time, give me some feed back, or any problems you might have, and check back,
your problem may end up here, with tips and other real life experiences (:
Happy Thanksgiving all you Canadians! Have a safe, and blessed, long weekend! (:
